Known for its leanings towards Real Madrid, Spanish newspaper Marca often acts as mouthpiece for the giants of La Liga and Tuesday’s front page summed up Madrid feelings.
After the collapse of De Gea’s move from Manchester United, which could still happen, one can only imagine the reaction of folks down in the Bernabeu.
According to reports, United weren’t best pleased about the transfer falling down at the last minute either. Both clubs are claiming they sent the required paperwork before the deadline.
Now the argument is that United sent Madrid documents in a file format that they couldn’t open in time. It’s almost comical. Marca deemed it ‘RIDICULO‘.
You don’t need to be fluent in Spanish to guess what that means. They deem the failure to conclude a transfer to be akin to a slap in the face.
Apparently De Gea brought a suit with him and everything in anticipation of his unveiling on Tuesday. There’s a chance he might get to wear it yet.
