Arsenal fans hitting refresh on their computers today are set up to be disappointed.
The BBC’s David Ornstein – who is pretty much the most reliable journalist out there – has today reported that it’s “very unlikely” that the Gunners will make any late signings in the window.
Very unlikely #AFC will make any signings today. Explored options but nothing was close & almost certainly no ins or outs now #DeadlineDay

The news has infuriated many Arsenal fans, who believe that a couple of big signings are all their club need to transform into serious title contenders this season.
In particular, many Arsenal fans have been pining for a new centre-forward for the 2015-16 season, as neither Olivier Giroud nor Theo Walcott seem to be good enough to lead the Gunners to top honours in either the league or Champions League this campaign.
For many fans, the lack of signings is another black mark against Arsene Wenger, who is portrayed as being too stubborn and cautious in his transfer dealings.
Arsenal’s only significant signing this summer has been the capture of Petr Cech from Chelsea.

It's funny because even Barcelona, who are banned from signing anybody, signed more players than Arsenal this summer

Clubs that spent more than Arsenal, who highest ticket prices in European football, include: Sassuolo, RB Leipzig and Middlesbrough

Arsenal fans pay super club prices & have a manager on a super club salary but clearly can't compete with them.
Radical overhaul needed.

Biggest con of the last 6 years as an Arsenal fan is being convinced Wenger has finally got a plan.
