Tottenham have had a £15million bid for West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouate rejected according to the Daily Mail.

The North London club are reported to be desperate to add to their squad before the end of this afternoon’s transfer window, with a midfielder and a striker rumoured to be the club’s top priority.

Tottenham had been heavily linked with Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama, but as reported earlier the 24-year-old is set to stay with the Saints despite handing in an official trasnfer request to try force through a move to White Hart Lane last week.

It seems that Spurs are going about their business on deadline day like they usually do, by seemingly bidding for every player they possibly can in order to secure a last minute bargain deal.

This method has now become common practice at White Hart Lane on deadline day, but it yet again leaves Spurs fans with the same lingering frustrations regarding their clubs transfer policy.

Although many expected Tottenham to do the most business before today’s transfer deadline, as of yet there seems to be no imminent news coming out of White Hart Lane with regards to new arrivals in North London.
