Hate him or love him, it can’t be denied that Louis van Gaal is good entertainment. There’s never a dull moment with the Manchester United manager.
A lot of that entertainment comes in the form of a self-destructive falling out with one of his players or a bizarrely obstinate tactical commitment.
But a fairly large portion is him enchanting the media with his oddness. Oh, and speaking of chants. You like that segue?
Van Gaal had to bat away reports that there’s something of a dressing room revolt against his training methods and did so by chanting his own chant.
Being a bit pedantic here, I know, but is that hard to remember five words? The Dutchman leaves out the word ‘red’ from the chant ‘Louis van Gaal’s Red Army’.
