Real Madrid couldn’t open Man United document to complete De Gea deal (AS)

Real Madrid couldnt open Man United document to complete De Gea deal (AS)

Well, this is all getting a bit farcical.

At the time of writing, the David De Gea to Real Madrid deal is off. That also means that the Keylor Navas deal to Manchester United is off.

Why? Because two of the richest sports teams on the planet couldn’t quite work out the kinks of sending each other documents on a computer.

According to Spanish newspaper AS and other media outlets the deal has collapsed because Madrid couldn’t open United’s documents before the deadline.

This leads to comical images of important officials at the Bernabeu huddled around a desktop trying to figure out how to open a PDF.

Naturally, there’s been a bit of a laugh about it online with many suggesting that this was all the work of United mastermind Ed Woodward.

He would be the true King of Banter if he managed to troll Madrid in such a manner but reports suggest that both clubs are keen to complete the deal.

The process of completing the transfer will carry on tomorrow.
