Nottingham Forest fan travels to Cardiff. Realises it’s not an away game. Drives back, team lose (Tweets)

A wonderful story played out on social media on Saturday, involving Nottingham Forest fan @Reiss_Nffc.

We know very little about the fan, expect that his bio on the social network reads: part time electrician, full time playboy. #NFFC!

Early on Saturday morning, the proud Forest fan posted a picture outside Cardiff’s ground, as he got ready for Saturday’s match in the Championship.

There was just one problem. Forest were playing Cardiff at the County Ground!

It didn’t take long for Cardiff’s social team to become aware of what was going on, and they duly trolled the Forest fan on Twitter.

After realising the error of his ways, @Reiss_Nffc presumably dashed back to Nottingham to try and watch the game.

The happy news was that the fan did appear to get back in time for the match.

The bad news was that Cardiff won the game 2-1.
