Arsenal vs Liverpool team news: Koscielny and Mertesacker ruled out as Firmino makes Reds debut

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger made two changes to his side as both Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker dropped out of the squad to face Liverpool at Emirates Stadium on Monday. 

Mertesacker was ruled out with illness, while Koscielny missed out with a 'mild' back problem as Callum Chambers and Gabrield were brought into the starting line-up.

The Gunners were otherwise unchanged from the side which secured a first victory of the season at Selhurst Park last weekend, while Liverpool made three changes as Roberto Firmino made his debut. 

Elsehwere in the visiting line-up, Emre Can and Lucas Leiva were brought into the side in place of Jordan Henderson and the injured Adam Lallana respectively. 

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Chambers, Gabriel, Monreal, Coquelin, Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla, Sanchez, Giroud.

Subs: Debuchy, Gibbs, Arteta, Ospina, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Flamini. 

Liverpool: Mignolet, Can, Lovren, Skrtel, Clyne, Milner, Coutinho, Lucas, Gomez, Firmino, Benteke.

Subs: Sakho, Moreno, Origi, Ings, Ibe, Bogdan, Rossiter.
