Club Brugge vs Manchester United: As it happened

FootballSportChampions LeagueManchester UnitedJames Benge

Standard Sport brings you live coverage of Manchester United’s Champions League qualifier against Club Brugge.

Louis van Gaal’s side travel to Belgium with the job all but done as they look to return to the group stages of Europe’s premier competition. So long as they avoid a comprehensive defeat to the Pro League runners up their year-long exil from the top table will be over.

A last-minute Marouane Fellaini header gave United a 3-1 victory in the first leg that is likely to be enough to take them through to tomorrow’s draw. Memphis Depay had inspired a fightback after the hosts had slipped behind to a deflected free-kick, scoring two and making the other.

Whilst van Gaal is taking nothing for granted his opposite number has all but conceded defeat in his club’s quest to make the group stages, with Michel Preud-homme claiming his side need a “miracle” to overcome Wayne Rooney, Bastian Schweinsteiger and company.

Will Club Brugge get that miracle? Or will United progress to the group stage? Find out by following our coverage below
