The Sunday Express have remained true to form this weekend, as they’ve splashed the back page of their tabloid with yet another questionable transfer piece.
With just three days to go until the transfer window closes at 6pm UK time on September 1st, Manchester United are tipped to finally be ready to sell David De Gea to Real Madrid.
De Gea has yet to feature for Man United this season, as the Spaniard’s mental state has been called into question by coach Louis van Gaal.
Now, say the Express, “relations between the player and management (are) virtually at breaking point”, and that has forced the Red Devils to accept that they have to sell their keeper.
Perhaps surprisingly, the Express then go on to suggest United will agree a cut price deal for De Gea, who is widely valued around 30 million pounds.
For some strange reason, the Express believe United will sell the goalie to Madrid “accepting a lower offer of around £25 million”.
Laughably, the Express finish off their article announced that Man United have made “discreet” enquiries about signing Neymar or Gerard Pique before the window shuts.
